ZimaBoard is a low-cost single-board server designed for makers and geeks.

Zimaboard has both the expandability of an x86 SBC and the appropriate power of a microserver. With ZimaBoard, you can setup a 4 Terabyte personal cloud in 5 minutes, configure a secure VPN to protect your digital footprint, tune your network with OpenWrt and pfSense, build a 4K media server that runs with Plex, share and collaborate with team members on your files, or upgrade your smart projects across different systems.

ZimaBoard is created by makers who got tired of recurring fees, unfriendly presets, and isolated systems. We want to make the home digital experience more attractive and affordable.

Your Personal Cloud Server

With ZimaBoard, you can build a personal cloud to have 100% control over your private data (e.g. family photos, party videos). At the same time, ZimaBoard allows you to easily expand to over 12TB disk space as your data grows. In terms of speed, the gigabit network in the local area network can reach a write speed of up to 100MB/sec, and enjoy the fast reading and writing experience just similar to the local hard disk.

Software Router

Software router is a must-have feature for geeks that we don’t want you to miss on ZimaBoard. You can hide your browsing history, block all kinds of advertisements on the Internet, and create your own web crawler. ZimaBoard is optimized for 24X7 working since its low power consumption and small form factor. ZimaBoard is also compatible with mainstream systems such as OpenWRT and pfSense, with which you can effortlessly expand various plug-ins, set up your VPN with just one click, and enter a proprietary safe browsing mode.

Media Server

If you are a Hi-Res audiophile, it is also a good choice to set up a music server on ZimaBoard to manage all your music from multiple digital sources, including Tidal, Qobuz, HDD, USB, iTunes, and live radio. Just sort them into a neat customized interface, collect and update your albums, and enjoy.

VPN & Firewall

By using ZimaBoard as a central authentication instance for VPN clients, you will be able to easily encrypt all your data guaranteeing maximum security for your most sensitive data in a private or professional setting.

Smart Home

People want to have a seamless experience delivered by different devices, but speaking the same language. Using HomeBridge and HomeAssistant hosted on ZimaBoard, you can easily bridge interactions between devices of multiple brands, making your door access controls, PIR sensors, TVs, air conditioning, and lights to be programmed and grouped at your will.
